I am delighted that Wokingham Borough planning Officers have rejected the application to build a gravel extraction plant in Shinfield.

Well done to the thousands of residents who objected to the application and to everyone who organised the group that led the objections.

Unfortunately there probably will be an appeal, but that is for another day. For now Wokingham Borough Council has done what is right and in the best interests of residents from across the borough.
