Boris Johnson has pledged that every home in the UK will be powered from Offshore Wind Farms by 2030. After transport Domestic Energy use is the single biggest contributor to Wokingham Borough’s carbon footprint so this would have a phenomenal impact on our local energy consumption and the impact we have on the environment.

This will not keep us from taking the actions we have already set out though. We have a comprehensive climate emergency action plan as a borough and are leading the charge among local authorities in terms of tackling carbon emissions.

All help from the government though is greatly appreciated.
