Please be aware that Wokingham Borough Council as Highway Authority hereby gives notice under Section 14 (2) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that no vehicle shall proceed along A321 Denmark Street, Wokingham between its junctions with Langborough Road and A321 Market Place.
The alternative route for all traffic affected by the restriction shall be by proceeding via A329 Market Place, A329 Broad Street, A329 Shute End, Station Road and A321 Wellington Road.
The reason for this prohibition is to enable South East Water contractors to undertake urgent works to repair a leaking communication pipe in safety.
The restriction will come into effect on 14th October 2021 and will continue for a period not exceeding 21 days. It is, however, anticipated that works requiring this restriction will be completed by 19th October 2021. The closure will be in place between the hours of 20:30 and 06:00.
Access for residents and business users within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained at all times.
The restriction imposed by the Order shall only apply during those periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
The dates of these restrictions may be subject to change.
