At tomorrow night’s meeting of Wokingham Borough Council I had proposed a motion calling on the council to lobby HM Government for the removal of VAT on Green, energy saving or energy producing produces.

I am delighted to say that, without even a vote being cast, today the Chancellor has announced that he will do exactly that.

For the next five years Solar Panel, Heat Pumps and many energy saving materials will be VAT Free.

This is fantastic news.
